SEEKING:
MRS. TARLETON (Chickabiddy): 50s–60s, Female - A former cook who embraced the marriage into her new status with enthusiasm and a touch of pretension. Kind hearted, practical and just a touch dotty. Mother of Hypatia and Johnny
HYPATIA TARLETON: 20s, Female - Beautiful, confident, and restless. She enjoys admiration but struggles with the expectations placed on her as a woman. Headstrong and looking for adventure.
BENTLEY SUMMERHAYS (Bunny): 20s, Male - Small of stature well-bred but weak-willed and engaged to Hypatia. Nervous, insecure, privileged and high strung. Prone to childish outbursts.
JOEY PERCIVAL: Late 20s, Male - An athletic, charming, and straightforward man. An aviator with ideals influenced by the leisure of his upper class.
LINA SZCZEPANOWSKA: 20s–30s, Female - A daring Polish acrobat. (no acrobatics required) Strong, independent, tall, and physically capable — she challenges traditional gender roles and expectations.
JOHNNY TARLETON JR: late 20s early 30s, Male - Son of the Tarletons, brother of Hypatia, Well read but somewhat of a block head. Hoping to assume the role of his father in business and wealth.
GUNNER: late 20s early 30s - Male. A clerk who thinks that socialist ideas need dramatic action. Trying to make a big statement, but ultimately lacks the wherewithal.
JOHN TARLETON: THIS ROLE HAS BEEN CAST. 50s–60s, Male - A self-made businessman and underwear magnate. Loud, energetic, and proudly practical. Represents rising middle-class confidence and blunt realism.
LORD SUMMERHAYS: THIS ROLE HAS BEEN CAST. 50s–60s, Male - Bentley's father. A philosophical aristocrat who rejects conventional morality and embraces unconventional views on relationships and society.
