BREAKDOWN

LEGALLY BLONDE - Rehearsals August 31-September 21; Preview & Performances September 22-October 17

ELLE WOODS: Elle is a woman who starts the show as an expert in editing herself: she expertly fits what a blonde female who grew up in Malibu is expected to be. But Elle is more than that; she is driven, fiery, and infectious, and spends the show finding her voice and purpose. Must be a true triple threat.

EMMETT FORREST: Emmett is a smart, quirky, law student who comes from humble means. He has never been handed anything in life. Emmett has the tact that allows him to give tough love in a constructive way. He is a strong singer/actor with great comedic timing. Will also play various parts in the ensemble.

PAULETTE/BROOKE: Paulette is a “townie” in Cambridge and owner of Hair Affair, a local salon. She longs for a meaningful romance of her own and loves anything to do with Ireland. Paulette provides sound advice and companionship to Elle. Must have great comic timing. Brooke is a fitness empire queen who is accused of murdering her wealthy husband. Brooke should exude confidence and poise. Actor must be visibly physically fit with excellent cardiovascular strength/endurance; she belts while jumping rope. Looking for an actor who can sing and dance. Will also play various parts in the ensemble. (A3-G5 Alto or Soprano)

PILAR, MARGOT, SERENA: Elle’s Delta Nu sisters. These women are Elle’s “ride or die”: people who support you, no matter the circumstances. They become the voices in Elle’s head, guiding her through law school. While they are California sorority girls, they truly care for Elle and should not be played stereotypically. Will also play various parts in the ensemble.

PROFESSOR CALLAHAN: Callahan is a law professor at Harvard. Callahan is both charismatic and conniving. He is nearly devoid of morals and aims to rid his students of their scruples. Will also play various parts in the ensemble.

WARNER HUNTINGTON III: Warner is an attractive man with plastic charm. He will do whatever it takes to achieve his dream of becoming a senator, including breaking Elle’s heart. Will also play various parts in the ensemble.

VIVIENNE KENSINGTON: Vivienne is a smart and savvy law student as well as Warner’s new girlfriend and fiancé. She is driven, intellectual, and works incredibly hard. She feels threatened by Elle’s presence at Harvard but ultimately comes to befriend her. Will also play various parts in the ensemble.

KYLE B. O’BOYLE: Kyle is a physically fit, smooth-talking UPS delivery man. Will also play various parts in the ensemble, such as Sundeep Padamadan and Nikos.

ENID HOOPS: Enid is a strong, opinionated, feminist law student at Harvard with an outspoken personality. Will also play various parts in the ensemble.

AARON SCHULTZ: A smug and arrogant Harvard law student. Will also play various parts in the ensemble.

A CHRISTMAS STORY - Rehearsals November 16-30; Preview & Performances December 1-23

RALPH PARKER: male, 30-49, narrator, also plays a cowboy, deliveryman and Xmas tree lot owner and the grown up version of Ralphie; Jean Shepard’s voice, wry and satirical with affection for the time and the story he tells.

THE OLD MAN: male, 35-50, Ralphie’s father, 1930s family man; a grumpy, good-hearted father. Obsessed with contests and the Bumpus hounds next door. Actor also performs the voice of Santa.

MISS SHIELDS: female, 21-32, a teacher who’s a real stickler when it comes to punctuation, actor also plays the Wicked Witch of the West.

MOTHER: female, 30-45, Ralphie’s Mother; a patient parent with firm convictions. It takes a lot to ruffle her feathers.
