SEEKING:
[SIDNEY BRUHL] Male, 40-60. Once polished, stately and erudite, Sidney is a celebrated playwright of murder mysteries who has hit a dry spell. His magnetizing personality and sense of self are inflated, but have faded a touch in middle age. Experience with stage combat a must.
[MYRA BRUHL] Female, 40s-60s. Sidney’s upper middle class, modest, self effacing wife. Sweet, caring, emotional, nervous, even skittish, but very supportive of Sidney's career.
[CLIFFORD ANDERSON] Male, 25-35. Clifford is the charismatic and optimistic former writing student of Sidney. He is optimistic, boyishly handsome and full of wide-eyed youthful exuberance. Experience with stage combat a must.
[HELGA TEN DORP] Female, 40s-60s. A wild, gypsy-like mystic. Her European eccentricity is disarming and to her, her powers are real and potent. She revels in her fame and status. Must be a strong character woman.
[PORTER MILGRIM] Male, 40s-60s. He is a 'suit and tie guy' - pragmatic and meddlesome. He is the straight forward lawyer in charge of Sidney’s legal affairs, but also a long time friend – bumbling, yet buttoned up.

[VANYA] Male, 50s. Living in Bucks County and more or less resigned to his life. Dour; a master of comedic underplaying.
[SONIA] Female, early 50s. Vanya’s discontented and regretful stepsister with an innate self-effacing humor about her, living with him in Bucks County. Longs for a life not lived.
[MASHA] Female, 40s-50s. A glamorous and successful actress who goes gallivanting around the world. Competitive and insecure.
[SPIKE] Male, 18-30. An aspiring actor and Masha’s new boy toy. Sexy and self-absorbed.
[NINA] Female, 18-30. A lovely, sincere would-be actress visiting her aunt and uncle. Energetic and star-struck.
[CASSANDRA] Female, any age. A cleaning lady and soothsayer with a quick, biting wit.
