BREAKDOWN
TANYA (Female, late 40s – mid 50’s, Black)
Mother of Jasmine and Eric. Fierce, loyal and vibrant. Takes control of any space she is in. There is a weight to her presence. Her love for her children knows no bounds. Seeking an emotionally and physically agile actor able to navigate transitions in tone and language.
JASMINE (Female, mid-late 30’s, Black)
Daughter of TANYA and older sister of ERIC. An enigma. Peculiar. Feels deeply but doesn’t let it show; at times, emotionally detached and matter of fact about the trauma she has lived and is living.
ERIC (Male, Early 30’s, Black)
Son of TANYA and younger brother of JASMINE. Confident. Very much the baby of the family – spoiled and lacks maturity. At peace with the choices he has made no matter the consequences.
MANNY (Male, 40’s, Black)
TANYA’s young brother. A Gun Dealer. Trustworthy and smart. Confident and clear. Seeking an actor with comedic abilities.
MARCUS/ENSEMBLE (Male, mid 20’s-30s, Black)
MARCUS, of Marcus & Markus, Attorneys at law. Seeking an actor that is playful and agile. Smart talker with incredible comedic timing. Should be able to play multiple different character types with ease.
