BREAKDOWN
SYNOPSIS: In the kitchen of a busy Wall Street restaurant, a former big-time chef takes over after dealing with drug addiction and personal tragedy. He befriends the dishwasher -- a Rwandan immigrant with his own demons – and two undocumented Guatemalan cooks, while an investigator from the INS snoops around.

JACK
Caucasian male, early 20’s; busboy who aspires to be a writer; educated but naïve.
CARLOS
Guatemalan male, mid-30’s; short-order cook; speaks fluent Spanish; wise and irreverent.
MIGUEL
Guatemalan male, 20’s; short-order cook; speaks mostly Spanish; recent immigrant.
KIM
Female, any ethnicity, early 30’s; INS investigator; educated, competent, no-nonsense.
GEORGE
ROLE ALREADY CAST. Male, late 40’s/early 50’s; former big-time chef.
MICHAEL
ROLE ALREADY CAST. Male, late 30’s; crass restaurant owner.
STEVE
