Equity actor for role in HOW TO DEFEND YOURSELF.

BRANDI, 21, White, She/Her/Hers. VP of the sorority. A disciplined athlete with a huge heart and raw, vulnerable center. She wants to make everyone feel safe.

PLEASE NOTE: This play discusses sexual assault, power, belonging and the body. The play is a comedy with nerve endings. The characters participate in several self-defense exercises and a consent workshop. A willingness and openness to move is essential.

INSTRUCTIONS
Your audition should be filmed in front of a clean background, with no backlighting, limiting ambient noise as much as possible. If using an iPhone, the video should be shot in horizontal format. Prepare a brief monologue no longer than 2 minutes in length. Email your headshot/resume and video submission (unlisted YouTube link or password protected Vimeo link). Indicate if you are a member of Equity. In the subject line, write your name and the role you’re auditioning for (Name / Role).
