SEEKING

Equity actors for roles in Great Lakes Theater 2023-24 Season (see breakdown).

Performers of all races and ethnicities, gender identities, sexualities, abilities and ages are encouraged to audition.

PREPARATION

Preparation: 1. One brief Shakespeare and one brief contemporary monologue, OR 2. Two brief Shakespearean monologues, OR 3. One brief monologue and one short song selection. Please bring sheet music in the correct key, accompanist provided but will not transpose. Please bring a stapled headshot and resume.

Ratchett: Ruthless and cunning character with a dark past and a flamboyant demeanor. Monsieur Bouc: Charming and somewhat bumbling friend of Poirot, providing comic relief.

Mary Debenham: British governess with a secretive and reserved nature, exploring emotional depth and internal struggles.

Colonel Arbuthnot: Stoic and disciplined British officer with a conflict between duty and personal feelings.

Mrs. Hubbard: Dramatic and theatrical American woman who enjoys the spotlight.

Hector MacQueen: Slick and polished former secretary with an enigmatic quality and potentially hidden motives.

Princess Dragomiroff: Mysterious and regal Russian princess with an aristocratic demeanor. Helen Hubbard: Talkative and boisterous American woman, vivacious and entertaining. Count Andrenyi: Charismatic and charming Hungarian aristocrat with sophistication and allure.

Countess Andrenyi: Elegant and composed wife of Count Andrenyi, maintaining a façade under pressure.

Antonio Foscarelli: Passionate and fiery Italian chauffeur with expressive personality and romanticism.

Greta Ohlsson: Reserved and mysterious Swedish missionary with quiet strength. Michael (The Conductor): Diligent and disciplined conductor with a professional demeanor, providing insights into passenger activities.

Head Engineer: Technical expert with a deep understanding of the train's mechanics and a sense of responsibility for its operations.

THE MERRY WIVES OF WINDSOR

Host of the Garter Inn: Spirited and jovial character, host to Falstaff and others. UNDERSTUDIES

Sir John Falstaff: Rotund and scheming knight with aspirations of wooing wealthy women for personal gain.

Mistress Ford: Clever and resourceful wife who outwits Falstaff's advances.

Mistress Page: Well-mannered and astute wife, also a target of Falstaff's romantic endeavors. Ford: Jealous and suspicious husband to Mistress Ford, leading to comedic misunderstandings.

Page: Respectable and well-to-do husband to Mistress Page, caught up in the humorous misadventures.

Anne Page: Gentle and virtuous daughter pursued by various suitors chosen by her parents. Fenton: Sincere and determined young gentleman in love with Anne Page.

Shallow: Elderly and somewhat foolish Justice of the Peace.

Slender: Nephew to Shallow, a somewhat dim-witted suitor for Anne Page.

Host of the Garter Inn: Spirited and jovial character, host to Falstaff and others. Widow Quickly: Busy and somewhat confused go-between in the romantic entanglements. Dr. Caius: Hot-tempered and eccentric French physician with intentions to marry Anne. Sir Hugh Evans: Welsh parson with a good-natured demeanor and peculiar speech. Simple: Servant to Slender, characterized by his simplicity and naivety.

Rugby: Servant to Dr. Caius, known for his loyalty and amusing interactions.
