West coast premiere about the relationships and conflicts within a string quartet preparing for their 10th anniversary concert, when a rock star asks for music lessons. Egos, loyalty, and love are all put to the test in this witty and moving play about music and musicians.
PAUL - 40s-50s. ENGLISH. The violist. Passive-aggressive, gentle, sexually ambiguous, needs the quartet more than anyone, loving. Maybe his trousers don't quite reach his shoes. Musician score: 8 1/2 out of ten (good for a violist). Actor does not need to play viola.
