songs from the show based on the character you are auditioning for. Sheet music and piano tracks for

If auditioning for the role of CHIP, COGSWORTH, or WARDROBE please prepare Human Again for
that character in addition to No Matter What.
BEAUTY AND THE BEAST
BELLE- A vibrant, intelligent girl with beauty, who wants more out of the life than an ordinary existence. She is optimistic, fun-loving, caring, and eager to experience life.
Female, 20-25 yrs old. Contemporary soprano with strong mix/belt.
Range: E3 - F5
BEAST- A Prince transformed into a terrifying beast for his lack of compassion. He is hot-tempered and commanding, but has a warm, loving heart buried far beneath his gruff exterior. Male, 25-40 yrs old. Physically imposing.
Range: A2 – F4
GASTON- The egotistical, ultra-masculine, villain determined to marry Belle. He is manipulative yet can also be charming and earnest. Must be physically imposing.
Male, 25-40 yrs old. Moves/dances well.
Range: A2 - E4
LEFOU- Gaston’s bumbling sidekick. He is loyal, energetic, and optimistic, but not quite the brightest guy. Physical humor/prat falls. Tumbling/acrobatics a plus.
Male, 25-35 yrs old. Must be able to move/dance.
Range: B2 - F#4
MAURICE- Belle’s loving, eccentric father. A child at heart and inventor in his own world.
Male, 55-65 yrs old
Range: Bb2 – Db4
COGSWORTH- A tightly-wound, enchanted mantle clock and the head of the Beast’s household. He is uptight, strict, and punctual but also hard-working, faithful, and thorough.
Male, 40-55 yrs old
Range: A2 - E4
BABETTE- A saucy, enchanted feather-duster, and the object of Lumiere's affections. She is the playful, gorgeous, seductive French maid.
Female, 25-35 yrs old. Must move well/dance.
Range: C4 - F5
MADAME DE LA GRANDE BOUCHE- A former opera diva-turned-enchanted wardrobe. She has a caring, refined, larger than life personality.
Female, 40-55 yrs old
Operatic Soprano. Range: C#4 - D5
MONSIEUR D'ARQUE- The scheming proprietor of the local insane asylum. He is a dark, sinister villain who aides Gaston in his plot to marry Belle.
Male, 35-55 yrs old
Range: D3 - A4
