Italian American, mid 30s. Factory worker in 1950s Staten Island. Decent, hard-working guy with big dreams and a bigger heart. More of a character than a typical leading man. High baritone/tenor.
Estelle Visalo:
Italian American, early-mid 30s. Housewife. Strong, forceful personality. Loves her husband, but finds herself disappointed by life. Mezzo/belt.
Mary O’Neary:
Irish, 20s. Pretty. Working-class. Sweet, open-hearted young woman, forced to struggle through very tough times; a survivor.
Laura Di Palma:
Italian American, 30s. Housewife. A good soul; tries hard to always say the right thing. Mezzo-belt.
Brancaccio / Jim O’Neary / Mr. Diminjuk:
50s-60s. Track for a character actor; should look completely different from the actor Mark Lotito (see photo at
http://ow.ly/32H8z ). Baritone/bass.
The following four roles are cast (i.e. offer accepted). Auditioning performers will be considered as possible replacements, should any become necessary.
