No appointment necessary.

Prepare a two minute comedic monologue and 32 bars of an uptempo song if also auditioning for the musicals. Bring sheet music in correct key; accompanist provided but may not transpose.

Bring picture and resume, stapled together.

Performers of all ethnic and racial backgrounds are encouraged to attend.

Actors with local housing strongly encouraged to attend.

Prologus/ Pseudolus: A slave of Hero, Pseudolus is sly, conniving, and willing to do anything for his freedom

Senex: An older man, henpecked husband of Domina but one still attracted to wine, women, and song.

Domina: battle-ax wife of Senex, Domina is not only domineering, but proud.

Hero: a lovesick juvenile

Philia: virginal girl, beautiful and young, yet dumb,

Hysterium: A slave of Senex and Domina, Hysterium is the frantic and frenetic straw boss of all the slaves in the household.

Lycus: The owner of the brothel. Snaky, slimy, lecherous procurer of courtesans.

Erronius: A befuddled old man who is partially blind and always confused,

Miles Gloriosus: A roman soldier, handsome, strong—and pompous, so much so that he proudly declares.

Protean #1 plays multiple roles (slaves, citizens, soldiers, and eunuchs).

Protean #2 plays multiple roles (slaves, citizens, soldiers, and eunuchs).

Protean #3 plays multiple roles (slaves, citizens, soldiers, and eunuchs).

Also seeking the following ensemble parts:

Panacea: A face that can say a thousand words and a body that can hold a thousand promises.

Tintinabula: has “the face of an idol . . . the arms of a willow tree . . . and the pelvis of a camel.”

Vibrata: “exotic as a desert bloom . . . wondrous as a flamingo . . . lithe as a tigress . . . for the man whose interest is wildlife.”

Gymnasia: “a giant stage on which a thousand dramas can be played.”

Otto Frank: Gentle cultured, slight German accent, 40s

Miep: Secretary to Kraler. She is pregnant in the prologue, 22 years, compassionate, protective. She lives outside. Dutch.

Mr. Van Daan: Dutch, Jewish, portly 40s

Mrs. Van Daan: Dutch, Jewish, pretty, early 40s.

Peter Van Daan: Shy, awkward, 16 years old

Margot Frank: 18, Beautiful, quiet & shy

Anne Frank: 16, intelligent, cheeky

Edith Frank: gentle, reserved, slight german accent, 40s

Mr. Kraler: Dependable, Dutch, kind,. He lives downstairs.

Jan Dussel: Dutch, dentist, 50s, meticulous and finicky
