BREAKDOWN
SEEKING THE FOLLOWING:
STRAT
(Lead, 18+ to play 18): Male; All Ethnicities. Strat is the young and rebellious leader of a gang of misfit who’ll never grow up. Fearless physical actor, idealistic, valorous, and madly in love with the daughter of the oppressive FALCO; must bring a wild, raw energy to an excellent rock/pop tenor a la Freddie Mercury voice and an Iggy Pop physicality — to a HIGH C.
RAVEN
(Lead, 18+ to play 17-18): Female; All Ethnicities. The beautiful and zealously-sheltered, teen-aged, daughter of the tyrannous FALCO. No longer willing to be locked down, RAVEN will risk everything for STRAT; must bring a rebellious, non-conformist attitude to an ingènue character with an excellent pop/rock lyric soprano voice: HIGH ROCK’n’ROLL BELT to E.
FALCO
(Supporting, 45-50): Male; All Ethnicities. Rules THE CITY OF OBSIDIAN with unbridled cruelty. A jealous, angry, animal of a man, FALCO is a tyrant with a sense of humor, sexy, with a sharp as nails wit, FALCO must have a beautiful, if comic, sometimes frightening ROCK’n’ROLL BARI/TENOR to Bb with strong FALSETTO.
SLOANE
(Supporting, 45-50): Female; All Ethnicities. Seemingly resigned but decidedly independent mother to RAVEN who’s on the verge of walking out on her husband, FALCO. Seeking a physically-daring singer with a razor sharp sense of humor and a sexy rock-and-roll sensibility. ROCK’n’ROLL BELT to HIGH E.
ZAHARA
(Supporting, 30-45); Female; All Ethnicities. De facto cool girl, hanging with the LOST, rides a motorcycle. SOUL BELT to HIGH E
TINK
(Supporting, 18+ to play 14-16): Male; All Ethnicities. TINK is the youngest of The LOST defined by an unquenchable love for his “ultimate big brother.” Similar vocal type as STRAT. ROCK’n’ROLL TENOR, to Bb TOP.
