One contemporary dramatic monologue, no more than two minutes in length. Bring picture and resume.

Playwright: Idris Goodwin. Director: Kristan Seemel. Assistant Director: Vincent Scott. Artistic Director: Frances Hill.
Mr. Seemel, Mr. Scott and Ms. Hill are expected to be in attendance during all or part of the audition.
OTHER DATES
Rehearsals begin Monday, September 23, 2019
Six days a week, for 5 hours each day. Day off either Sunday or Monday.
Public Performances begin on Friday, October 18, 2019
Official Opening Thursday, October 24, 2019. Closes Sunday, November 10th. (Possible extension thru Nov. 17th.)
Regular Run Sched.: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday eves. Saturday & Sunday matinees. Tues. off.

BREAKDOWN
ERIC
mid to late 30s, African American male, a classical pianist. Younger brother to Bilal. A romantic coming to grips with reality, just now becoming a man by his own standards, always has been in his older brother's long shadow. Has to scat sing well. Ideally plays piano, could be early 30s.
BILAL
mid to late 30s, African American male, a jazz bassist. Older brother to Eric. Has to scat sing well. Ideally plays upright bass.
WES
30s-40s, male corrections office, played by someone of middle eastern or mediterranean descent. Also plays SADEEM (FBI informant), HAINES (FBI Agent), PROSECUTOR, ANOTHER CORRECTIONS OFFICER and SECOND REPORTER
SYLVIA
30s, female vocalist in the classical tradition, Arab American. Also plays CLAUDIA FUBER (Bilal's lawyer), FIRST REPORTER.
