Due to COVID-19 and Social Distancing Efforts, accepting Video Submission Auditions in lieu of live EPAs locally at the theatre in Philadelphia and in NYC.

When submitting, email (1) a copy of your headshot and resume as well as (2) a link to your video

Submission Requirements: Please prepare and record one of the below options:

One monologue no longer than two minutes in length

OR

One musical selection, approximately 16 bars in length and a 1-minute contemporary monologue

*Note: If choosing this option, please include BOTH selections in one video

At the top of your video, please slate your name and the piece(s) you will be presenting. (In addition, you

may include this information in the video description below and/or on slides in your video, but it is not

required.) If singing, you may choose to sing with a track or acapella.

Roles Available:

Mel - Mid-to-late 60s. A toll booth attendant, a widow, a lesbian, a mom to Avery and Jessica. Can come off as irascible but she's rarely serious about it. All things considered, she's pretty happy. She doesn't need to be bothered with a lot of nonsense. Black.

Jessica - Early 30s. Mel's daughter. A technical writer. An American living in Canada. A pregnant person trying to figure out how to build a new world. Black.

Neeraj - Mel's son-in-law, husband to Jessica. An eager, youthful climate change activist. A natural salesman. An outsider at times. A Canadian of Middle Eastern decent.

Roles Cast:

Avery - Mid-to-late 30s. A performer on a cruise ship. A single gay man with a lot of defenses up and a profound lack of community. Chance are he'll become his mother one day. Black.

Esther - Early 30s. Mel's neighbor. Abraham's sister. The president of the neighborhood association (self-appointed). A woman who has very strong desires to see change in the area. An American of Vietnamese descent.

Abraham - Mid-30s. A real estate developer in over his head. At heart he's an earnest romantic. An American of Vietnamese descent.
