BREAKDOWN

A trip to Venice brings love, loss, pain and joy to three weary travelers in search of healing and happiness. Hearts leap, time bends and the floating city works its wonders in this magical play filled with music and amore.

SEEKING:

HELEN (Female, 60s-70s) Vibrant, charming, flamboyant, glamorous and intelligent. She is a talented amateur actress who likes to live the life of an artist. She is grieving for the death of her long-divorced but still close husband, but eager to embrace life and romance and what comes next.

AUNT CHUCK (Male, 50s-60s) Open ethnicity. He is gay and bit of a pill, but funny. He is grieving for the death of his husband, and on the surface, is reluctant to get on with his life or come on this trip to Venice. His emotions rise to the surface and turn on a dime, causing him to laugh or cry easily.
