BREAKDOWN

Equity encourages everyone participating in the auditions to wear a two-ply cloth face mask, surgical mask, singer’s mask or respirator (N95, KN95 or KF94). Single-ply face masks, gaiters and bandanas are not recommended. Singer’s masks can be found at www.broadwayreliefproject.com/singersmask.

Equity encourages members to prepare for their audition prior to arriving at the audition venue, to the extent that they can (e.g., get dressed, hair/make-up, etc.) to avoid crowding in bathrooms and dressing rooms.

JERRY: American Soldier/Artist. Confident. Friendly. 100% Triple Threat, Gene Kelly/Gregory Hines type. A strong tapper and American jazz dancer as well as a strong singer. late 20s-early 30s

LISE: Jewish-Franco Prima Ballerina with the Ballet du Chatelet. Guarded, but kind and generous. Conflicted and sometimes melancholy. An excellent ballet dancer (including pointe) and sings well. 20s

HENRI BAUREL: French, upper class with a secret desire/talent as a showman. Sensitive, dutiful the son of M and MME BAUREL, they hold sway over his choices. Triple threat with a strong voice. 20s 30s

ADAM: Jewish American, wounded, ex pat soldier and musician/composer living in Paris. Acerbic, quick-witted, and self-deprecating. Genius on the piano. Strong singer 20s-30s

MILO: American art philanthropist and aficionado. Strong, confident, alluring. Strong singer. Early 40s

MME BAUREL: Stern, protective matriarch of the Baurel clan. Intensely caring. No singing required. French Accent. 50s - 60s
