Clytemnestra: Female, 40s or 50s. Mother of Elektra, Chrysothemis and Orestes; recently killed her first husband, Agamemnon, out of revenge and married his brother.
Aegisthus: Male, 50s to early 60s. Virile second husband to Clytemnestra and accomplice in Agamemnon’s murder.
Chorus: 1 older women who advise and comment on the action of the play.
Pylades: Male, 20s. The mute cousin of Orestes, Elektra, and Chrysothemis.
