SEEKING

In addition to auditioning for specific roles in our 17/18 season productions of Satchmo at the Waldorf, Cleo, Picasso at the Lapin Agile, Holmes and Watson, and The Cake we are also looking for Alley Theatre Resident Company members for our 18/19 season. Past productions that reflect the type of work the Alley Theatre is looking to produce in its 18/19 season include Angels in America, Twelfth Night, In the Jungle of Cities, and Travesties. We encourage actors of all genders, ages, and ethnic backgrounds to audition.

HOLMES AND WATSON by Jeffrey Hatcher

First Rehearsal May 29, 2018. Performances June 22 to July 22, 2018

WATSON late 30s to mid 50s. A classic Watson. Polite, reserved, and detail oriented. A genius of sorts who is always three steps ahead.

DR. EVANS early 40s to late 50s. Silky and officious, he is the man in charge of an Asylum on an isolated island. No nonsense and intense, but with a gentleman’s demeanor.

HOLMES 1 Early 40s to late 50s. Tall, thin, angular. The most acerbic Holmes. Threatening and dangerous.

HOLMES 2 Early 40s to late 50s. Tall, thin, angular. The most anxious Holmes. Currently unkempt and in a straitjacket. Highly intelligent.

HOLMES 3 Early 40s to late 50s. Tall, thin, angular. The most impenetrable Holmes. Steely and mysterious.

ORDERLY/ MORIARTY/ INSPECTOR 30s to 60s. Tall, well built. Menacing.
