BREAKDOWN

Note:
The persecution, sterilization and murder of hundreds of thousands of disabled people is one of the most overlooked chapters in the whole ghastly history of Nazi Germany. Between 1939 and 1941 as many as 100,000 people with a wide range of disabilities were dismissed as lebensunwertes Leben (‘lives unworthy of life’) and systematically killed in six converted psychiatric hospitals across Austria and Germany. Public opposition to the programme was limited. The most striking intervention came from the churches, especially the Catholic Bishop of Münster, Clemens August Graf von Galen. All Our Children is very much a work of fiction, but rooted firmly in the true evils of the past.

Seeking:

[MARTHA] Female, late 30's - 40's, Caucasian, Victor Franz's maid. A simple woman who believes in Dr. Franz and that the party is doing good work. A mother to a teenage daughter and wife to an absent German soldier, devoutly Catholic. Protective, passionate, but obedient.

[ERIC] Male, 25-35, Caucasian. A true believer in the Nazi party, he relishes the power that his status gives him over others. Cocky, arrogant, a man living in a world without consequences. Handsome, charismatic, Aryan & ruthless.

[ELIZABETTA] Female, late 40's, Caucasian. Gaunt, working class, a mother and a widow. Her special needs child has been put in the care of a camp/hospital run by the Nazi party. Unable to see her child, she is anxious, desperate for reassurance, and devastated when she learns the truth of her son's fate.
