SEEKING

AEA and non-Equity actors for various roles. Seeking a very diverse range of ethnicity in our actors. All roles are paid.

PREPARATION

•One (1) 60-second monologue. Please read the play to determine the style required. Those auditioning for the role of Willa Fay Moore should also prepare a brief (30 sec.) gospel-style song. You will sing a cappella. No accompanist will be present.

WILLA FAY MOORE
16.* African American. Bobbie’s friend. Sings. *Those auditioning for the role of Willa Fay Moore should also prepare a brief (30 sec.) gospel-style song. You will sing a cappella. No accompanist will be present. Actresses for this role should be 18+ but be able to convincingly portray a 16-year old. No minors will be seen for this role.

WADE FERGUSON
late 20s-30s. A freelance journalist.

CALEB PITTS
late 20s-30s. Bobbie’s uncle.

CHARLIE SPARKS
40. Owner of Sparks World Famous Shows. Never without his signature Stetson hat and cane.

REVEREND MOORE
40’s. Willa Fay’s father.

AMBROSIA PILAR
20’s. A circus diva.

RED ELDRIDGE
late 20s-30’s. A drifter.

SPIT, NUB, TUCKER
60s-70s Erwin-ites. Shriners. Protective of their drink, and of Bobbie A. Racial makeup is open but should include African American men.
