SEEKING
Equity Actors/Singers/Dancers for chorus parts in A CHORUS LINE (see breakdown).

All stage managerial positions have been filled.

All roles (unless noted in the breakdown) require advanced dancing and strong singing.

Chicago based performers are encouraged to submit.

Actors of all gender identities, ethnicities, ages, and disabilities will be fully and fairly considered for all roles and are encouraged to submit for said roles.

Email your headshot/resume and video submission via streamable link (YouTube, Vimeo, etc.) with your NAME and ROLE you are submitting for in the subject line. Downloadable links and file transfers will not be accepted. Deadline: 5:00pm CT September 5, 2022

BREAKDOWN

PREPARATION INSTRUCTIONS:

DANCERS: Please prepare the dance combination at
https://www.dropbox.com/sh/07shl610p3c6d0y/AAB8j-ZE5jZE0VBIXpkjAxw5a?dl=0. For the initial audition, Dancers are not required to submit the singer material but may and are encouraged to submit both. If called for in-person callbacks, Dancers will be required to sing at the callback. The script/score requires all performers to sing and dance.

SINGERS: Please prepare the vocal cut at
https://www.dropbox.com/sh/7zhckr5bznpwkm2/AADnwLck0i9WdwteHyArAi-Ua?dl=0. For the initial audition, Singers are not required to submit the dance material but may and are encouraged to submit both. If called for in-person callbacks, Singers will be required to dance. The script/score requires all performers to sing and dance.

SEEKING (CUT DANCERS):

All Chorus will be understudied by swings. Chorus members will understudy principals and sing off-stage once they are “cut” from the show as noted in the script/score.

Lois Dilettente – Ballerina who can’t get through the jazz combination. Non-speaking

Tricia – Been in a touring company but not a Broadway show. Has vocal solo in “I Hope I Get It.”

Vicki Vickers – Has not had any ballet training nor done any Broadway shows.

Butch Barton – Has an attitude. Can’t correct his mistake in the first combination. Non-speaking.

Frank – Continually looks at his feet while dancing. Wears a headband. Non-speaking.

Tom Tucker – Mouths the counts during both combinations. Non-speaking.

Roy – Has only had one year of ballet training. “Wrong-arms Roy”
