Cast members of the national touring production of Motown the Musical (coming to Detroit April 18 - 30 at the Fisher Theatre) will perform in a special concert to benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS and Ferndale's Blessings in a Backpack. "MOTOWN UNPLUGGED: A LEGACY OF LOVE" takes place at 7 p.m. on Monday, April 24 at The Loving Touch, 22634 Woodward Avenue, Ferndale. Doors open at 6 p.m. for the 18+ event.

Guests attending can support the cause as they enjoy an intimate evening featuring cabaret-style performances by members of the Motown the Musical cast, as they perform some of their favorite songs and familiar Broadway tunes. The evening, hosted by metro-Detroit's own SABIN, will also feature live and silent auctions and cash bar. The event also features performances by Tom Butwin and Ricky Gee.

Admission for the event is $25 in advance or at the door. All funds raised at the event will benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS and Blessings in a Backpack. Tickets for "MOTOWN UNPLUGGED: A LEGACY OF LOVE" are available service fee free at the Woodward Avenue Brewery box office, located at 22646 Woodward Avenue in Ferndale, or at the door at The Loving Touch on the night of the show. Recording artist TOM BUTWIN appears as Jesus in Jesus Christ Superstar at Stagecrafters in Royal Oak, MI from May 19 - June 11.
