After a wildly successful one-night-only performance opening the Gay Play Series last June, Ronnie Larsen's classic play Making Porn will return to The Ringwald for a full production! Taking a small break from their Season of Family (and, honestly, who doesn't need a break from family now and again), The Ringwald will present Making Porn February 22 - March 18, 2013 at The Ringwald Theatre, 22742 Woodward Avenue in downtown Ferndale. Tickets are currently available at www.TheRingwald.com.

Making Porn is set in San Francisco in the early 1980s and focuses on the lives of six people involved in the gay pornography industry. Jack Hawk, a straight, out-of-work actor is hired by gay porn producer, Arthur Mack, to star in his newest porn movie entitled, Cops. Included in the films cast are Ray Tanner, a jaded porn star of 70 films and a bright, young new-comer named Ricky. Complications arise when Jacks wife, Linda, finds out about her husband's new career and Arthur's partner, Jamie, falls in love with one of the actors.

Playing in virtually every major city in the U.S. and several major cities around the world, Making Porn also played over 500 performances off-Broadway at The Actors' Playhouse in Greenwich Village. Ringwald artistic director Joe Bailey has appeared in hundreds of Making Porn performances in various cities around the country and will be reprising his role of Arthur here and will also direct.

Joining Joe Bailey in the cast will be Richard Payton as Jamie, Bailey Boudreau as Ricky, Lisa Melinn as Linda, and the return of hometown boy Dan Morrison as Ray. And making his Ringwald debut is Brenton Herwat as Jack.

Please note: Making Porn contains nudity and adult situations. No one under 18 will be admitted.

Making Porn opens Friday, February 22 and plays through Monday, March 18th at 8pm on Friday, Saturday and Monday nights. There will be no Sunday matinees.

Ticket prices are $20.00 for Friday and Saturday performances and Monday nights are HALF OFF the original ticket price at only $10 a ticket. All students can now receive a $5 discount off normal ticket price on Friday and Saturday performances (available at the box office the day of the show with valid student ID). Tickets can be purchased at www.TheRingwald.com or at the theatre box office. The Ringwald box office opens 45 minutes before performances and tickets can be purchased with cash or Visa/Mastercard.
