Slow Dance With a Hot Pickup is an inspiring musical story of the American experience -- of ordinary lives touched by an unusual challenge. Forced to share countless hours in close proximity to one another in a marathon contest of surreal proportions -- holding on to a shiny new pick up truck for hours on end in hopes of taking it home -- the contestants in this trial of endurance reveal secrets about their lives, dreams, hopes, successes, and frustrations.

With a poignant and passionate book by seasoned Broadway playwright John Pielmeier (Agnes of God, Boys of Winter) and a vibrant and tender score by Emmy-award winner Matty Selman, Slow Dance with a Hot Pickup struts an American cultural experience across the stage with musical heart.
