VIDEO: First Look - Bovine Metropolis Theater's TWILIGHT Spoof AMERICA THE UNICORN

By:

Everyone knows that a unicorn makes the best history teacher. "America The Unicorn" is the 36th original sketch comedy revue written and performed by Bovine Metropolis Theater's sketch team, and it's taking absurdity to a whole new level. A unicorn will teach a reinvented history of the United States, a version that's magical, strange, and hilarious. Check out a first look below!

"The only limit is our imagination," says Director, Eric Farone. "The great thing about absurdity is that it is a limitless space. Also, just like good science fiction writing, the magic and absurdity let us make statements about today's issues."

You'll see some history being rewritten through the eyes of a troubled unicorn, resulting in some ludicrous sketches, the true story of Amelia Earhart's disappearance for example.

"It's definitely going to be magical," said Dee Morgenthaler, Cast Member and Writer, "People will quickly catch on that there is NO telling what will happen next. There will be dancing, singing, and digital shorts throughout the show. My absolute favorite scene is called "Abraham Lincoln 50 Shades of Twilight Pink"... I'll leave it at that."

Tickets will go fast for "America The Unicorn," running every Friday and Saturday starting May 31st, and closing on June 29th. Tickets are $16 in advance and $18 at the door, be sure to call Bovine Metropolis Theater to make your reservation.

Bovine Metropolis Theater is located at 1527 Champa Street in the heart of the Denver Theatre District. The Bovine is an improv organization that teaches and performs theatrical improvisation, the art of accepting the unknown gracefully.
