The last production in Town Hall Arts Center's 2013-2014 Season will be The Music Man, book, music and lyrics by Meredith Willson, Story by Meredith Willson and Franklin Lacey. The Music Man is directed by Christopher Willard, recently at Town Hall directing the 2013 production of 9 to5: The Musical. Musical direction is by Donna Kolpan Debreceni, Henry Award Winner, The Who's Tommy and choreographed by Kelly Kates, most recently here for the 2013 production of Annie.

Featured in this production is Chris Boeckx as Harold Hill. Chris is returning after a long hiatus from Town Hall Arts Center; he has been seen here in I Love You, Your Perfect, Now Change; My Fair Lady; Once Upon A Mattress; Honk! and Meet Me In St. Louis. Maggie Sczekan makes her Town Hall Arts Center debut as Marian Paroo; Maggie has most recently been seen in Starkey Theatrix production of South Pacific as Nellie (cover). Back after closing Town Hall's holiday show Annie are Damon Guerrasio as Marcellus Washburn and LuAnn Buckstein as Eulalie Shinn. Accompanying her and also back after a hiatus is Brian Walker-Smith as Mayor Shinn.

An affectionate tribute to Smalltown, U.S.A. of a bygone era, Meredith Willson's THE MUSIC MAN follows a fast- talking traveling salesman as he cons the people of River City, Iowa, into buying instruments and uniforms for a boys' band he vows to organize - this despite the fact he doesn't know a trombone from a treble clef. His plans to skip town with the cash are foiled when he falls for the librarian, who transforms him into a respectable citizen by curtain's fall.

Town Hall's production of The Music Man, presented by Schomp Automotive, opens Friday, May 16, 2014 and runs through Sunday, June 15, 2014. Show times are Thursdays, Fridays & Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. (& 2:00 p.m. on 5/31) & Sundays at 2 p.m. (& 6:30 p.m. on 6/8). There will be no Saturday performance on June 14, 2014.
