Technical Problems Blamed for Cancelled Phantom of the Opera Performance
By: Ashlee Latimer
According to the Denver Post, technical difficulties with the set are being cited as the cause of a cancelled performance of Phantom of the Opera at the Denver Performing Arts Center this past Thursday, September 8th.
The automation of the main set structure, which travels from stop to stop on the national touring production, was apparently the source of the trouble. Although the performance will not be rescheduled due to the strict touring schedule, patrons who purchased tickets for the cancelled performance have been offered a refund, and the production will continue to play its scheduled performances through Sunday, September 11th.
