This year VOX has two guest writers, Regan Linton and Laura Alsum, who gave us pieces from "Gimplecapped," their show that played at the L.A. Fringe Festival. New titles include "To Infinity and Beyond...Slowly," "Pity Bang Hot Line," "The Summer Camp that Tried to Kill Me" along with favorites from previous shows.

The cast includes 11 actors with disabilities; Stewart Caswell, Khea Craig, Dominique Frary, Michael Leopard (whose credits include Liar, Liar and Rising Sun,) Jamie Lewis, Harper Liles, Paul Migliorelli, Kimberlee Nanda, Lucy Roucis (seen doing standup comedy in the movie Love & Other Drugs,) Daniel Wheeler and Stephanie Williams.

Led by well known Colorado Director/Playwright Edith Weiss, Vox Phamalia is the result of an annual writing-to-performance development workshop, designed for Phamaly Theatre Company members to explore the process of writing an original piece, having it selected and taken to performance. The theatrical devices of improvisation, sketch comedy, dramatic story telling and music are all used in the workshop process. Weiss tells us, "You can trust Vox for comedic takes on subjects that others consider taboo." Edith was awarded Best Direction of a Play by The Denver Post & Best of Westword, and named Best New Play by David Marlowe. Vox PHAMALIA: Quadrapalooza (2012) was voted "Best Variety Show" by Westword.

Now celebrating its 25th season, Phamaly is an award-winning Colorado based Theatre Company comprised entirely of performers with a wide variety of physical, cognitive, and emotional disabilities. Phamaly's mission is to inspire people to re-envision disability through professional theatre.
