OpenStage Theatre to Host Midsummer Celebration Fundraiser in Fort Collins
The annual fundraiser will take place at Center for Creativity, featuring a 26-27 season preview.
OpenStage Theatre & Company will host their second annual Midsummer Celebration fundraising event Sunday, June 14, 3-7 pm, in the courtyard at Center for Creativity, 200 Mathews Street, in Fort Collins.
The event will feature a preview of scenes from next season's shows, lively music and merriment, plenty of local food and drink, and a full afternoon of theatrical fun!
Through the ages Midsummer festivals held on or near the summer solstice have brought communities together to delight in the wonders of nature, light and connection. This Midsummer Celebration will embrace popular festival traditions and add the magic of theater.
Guests are encouraged to wear breezy, summer-white attire and complete their Midsummer look with flower crowns designed at the event. Celebration highlights will include a traditional maypole, games, diversions and playful mischief in the spirit of Midsummer Night's Dream.
Local muralist Chris Bates will create a live painting of the festivities, capturing the micro and macro story of the event in his vibrant and colorful style. The finished work will be included in the live auction; an ample silent auction will include services, products, art and experiences donated by local businesses and artisans.
Old Town favorite Bistro Nautile will provide locally sourced, seasonal hors devours, small bites and sweets. Odell Brewing Company will furnish beer, wine and spritzes. And Seed & Spirit Distilling will craft seasonal cocktails featuring their premium whiszcal and bourbons, along with spritely mocktails.
“The first Midsummer Celebration was a huge success last year,” says OpenStage Producing Artistic Director Jacob Offen. “I can't wait to invite guests back this year! It's a great way to celebrate creativity and community with an incredible group of people.”
Tickets grant entry to the celebration and include two drink tickets. They can be purchased at openstage.com/midsummer-celebration-2026/.
