Lakewood Cultural Center Presents ArtsPower's Production Of AMBER BROWN IS NOT A CRAYON

The nationally touring ArtsPower Theatre returns to the Lakewood Cultural Center (LCC) with another lively original one-hour musical based on the book "Amber Brown Is Not a Crayon" by Paula Danziger. Children will love the up-close experience in the LCC's 320-seat theater, as they laugh along and relate with Amber as she learns some valuable lessons about the virtues of patience and the meaning of forgiveness.

ArtsPower's uniquely funny and forthright production portrays a feisty young girl who refuses to let her problems get the better of her. Amber is having what may be the worst year of her life. She and Justin Daniels were the perfect team: They laughed at each other's jokes, sat next to each other in class, and stayed best friends when Justin's dad had to move away. But now things are different. Now, Justin's house has been sold, and he is going to Alabama; that's too far from New Jersey to think about.

Tickets start at $7 and are available at 303-987-7845, Lakewood.org/LCCPresents or the Lakewood Cultural Center Box Office, 470 S. Allison Parkway (Wadsworth and West Alameda Avenue).

The Lakewood Cultural Center Presents 2018-2019 season is generously supported by the Scientific and Cultural Facilities District (SCFD), a unique funding source serving hundreds of metro Denver arts, culture and scientific organizations; Colorado Creative Industries; National Endowment for the Arts; and The Denver Post Community.
