Denver Center Announces Changes to Its 2010 Season

By:

Due to the nature of theatrical events, Denver Center Attractions (DCA) has altered the lineup of its 2010 subscription shows, and included another added attraction for the spring.

DCA has added a two-week engagement of Blue Man Group to its schedule, which will launch its first US theatrical tour this fall and will visit the Buell Theatre December 7-19, 2010. Blue Man Group is best known for their wildly popular theatrical shows and concerts which combine comedy, music, and technology to produce a totally unique form of entertainment. The New York Times heralds the show as "One of the most delightful performance pieces ever staged." Although it is impossible to describe, people of all ages agree that Blue Man Group is an intensely exciting and wildly outrageous show that leaves the entire audience in a blissful, euphoric state. With no spoken language, Blue Man Group is perfect for people of all ages, languages, and cultures.

Due to unavoidable logistical issues, DCA has had to cancel the Denver engagement of 101 Dalmatians. On both the full and family series subscriptions, that show slot will be filled by Blue Man Group.

Additionally, DCA has booked a one-week engagement of Cirque Dreams Illumination, a new production by the creators of Cirque Dreams Jungle Fantasy, which played a very successful run at the Buell Theatre in 2008. Illumination is an added attraction and not included on the 2010 subscription packages. Cirque Dreams Illumination will play the Ellie Caulkins Opera House March 31-April 4, 2010. More information on this show will be released separately.

Media sponsorship for Denver Center Attractions is provided by The Denver Post, CBS4 and Denver magazine. Denver Center Attractions is supported in part by the Scientific and Cultural Facilities District. For more information, please visit www.denvercenter.org.
