DaVinci & Michelangelo Museum Theatre to Debut in Denver at the Glitter Dome Events Center

By:

The World Premiere of DaVinci & Michelangelo: Titans Side by Side Original Museum Theatre Performance will make its debut at the Glitter Dome Event Center in the RINO Arts District of Denver, CO beginning with an evening performance on November 27th, 2015 at 7:30pm and playing selected matinee and evening performance through December until New Year's weekend January 3, 2016.

"Museum Theatre" is a combination of a traditional museum experience with a live one-of-a kind multi-media theatrical performance. "Museum Theatre" combines the interactive DaVinci Machines Exhibition and the Michelangelo Titans Side by Side multi-media live theatre production. Attendees are encouraged to attend early, walk around and interact with the DaVinci Museum Machines and then go on multi-media performance through the Italian Renaissance as seen through the eyes of these two titans.

Mark Rodgers, the host of the performance, is the curator of the DaVinci Machines and Michelangelo Exhibitions from Florence, Italy for North America and the creator of the national touring theatre production of DaVinci & Michelangelo Titans Side by Side Museum Theater.

Ironically Rodgers first conceived of the "Museum Theatre" art form when the DaVinci Machines Exhibition was on display at the Denver Pavilions three years ago. The museum of Leonardo DaVinci in Florence send to Denver the Michelangelo Exhibition and it was Rodgers decision to combine the two exhibits at the Pavilions on the 16th Street Mall.

"The more I learned of these two iconic men and discovered their backstory, I started to integrate their life stories into the docent guided tours at the exhibition. We were always comparing Michelangelo and DaVinci, and to me it seemed like a natural step to combine them. When discussing the Italian Renaissance it is nearly impossible to talk about one without the other," Rodgers continues.

The docent guided tours at the Denver Pavilions became so popular that people would call days in advance to make sure they would be on Rodgers guided tour through the exhibition. "We then developed a multi-media show that could be performed in a traditional theatre setting and easily take to performing arts centers across the country. Everything DaVinci and Michelangelo said and did applies to our lives today", Rodgers says.

"We have been looking over the last year for the perfect venue where we could combine the DaVinci Machines Exhibition in a traditional museum setting and then be able to present the touring multi-media performance. The Glitter Dome Events Center in the RINO Arts District was brought to our attention and it is perfect fit for our "Museum Theatre" concept.

The DaVinci & Michelangelo Titans Side by Side Museum Theatre is a ticketed performance and reservations are required. Seats are limited to each performance.

The performance is for all ages. Tickets are $40.00 and all seats are General Admission. Matinee performance are at 1:30pm and evening performance are at 7:30pm on selected dates.
