Coal Creek Theater Of Louisville Presents OVER THE RIVER AND THROUGH THE WOODS
Nick is a single, Italian-American guy from New Jersey. His parents retired and moved to Florida, but that doesn't mean his family isn't still in Jersey. In fact, he sees both sets of his grandparents every Sunday for dinner. This is routine until he has to tell them that he's been offered his dream job in Seattle, a job that would take him away from his beloved grandparents. He tells them, but the news doesn't sit so well. Thus begins a series of schemes to keep Nick from moving. The resulting action is one hilarious moment after another.
About Over the River and Through the Woods, director Jim Carver remarks, "This play has become one of America's favorites. Everyone loves this play. I love this play. You certainly get from it what you go to the theatre for: you laugh 'til you hurt and then suddenly a tear appears in your eye. What could be better?"
