Breckenridge Backstage Children's Theatre to Present THE LION, THE WITCH, AND THE WARDROBE

By:

The multiple award-winning Breckenridge Backstage Children's Theatre presents an adaptation of the classic C.S. Lewis story of fealty, friendship, and faith, The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe, written for the stage by le Clanche du Rand.

In this inventive and highly theatrical version of the famous C.S. Lewis tale, Peter and Lucy take the audience on an exciting journey through the wardrobe and back to Narnia where the White Witch has cast a spell to make it always winter and never Christmas. There they meet Mr. Tumnus the faun, and, with the help of other Narnia creatures, they go in search of Aslan the Lion who will guide them in a great battle to defeat the White Witch and return summer to Narnia. The show is perfect for ages 5 and up.

The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe features Sarah Doerner as Lucy and Ben Griffin as Peter. Director is Christopher Willard (Babe The Sheep-Pig, Charlotte's Web). Lighting design is by Sean Mallary (Chicago). Costume design by Nina Jannetti. Stage management by Jennifer Schmitz (Chicago). Willard created the sound design.

The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe opens July 1st and plays weekends until July 24th. Full performance schedule is July 1, 8, 15, 22 at 10 AM, July 2, 9, 16, 23 at 11 AM, and July 3, 10, 17, 24 at 1 PM. All shows will be held at the Breckenridge Theater, 121 S.
