The Clean House by Sarah Ruhl, directed by BETC Member Rebecca Remaly, will run April 1-17, 2010 at The Dairy Center for the Arts in Boulder.

Rehearsals will begin on or around February 15th, 2010.

Please read character descriptions carefully; to be considered for an audition appointment, submit your headshot and resume electronically to
BoulderEnsembleTheatreCompany@gmail.com no later than Monday, November 30th. Please disclose at the time of submission whether you are a member of AEA (Equity).

BETC is also looking for a non-equity stage manager for The Clean House.

All positions are paid.

Note: The role of Mathilde will be played by Jamie Ann Romero.

Character descriptions for available roles

Lane: A doctor, a woman in her early 50's. Fastidious, a perfectionist.

Virginia: Lane's sister, a woman in her late 50's. Warm, caring, loves to clean.

Charles: Lane's husband, a man in his 50's. A compassionate surgeon. He is childlike. In Act I, Charles plays Matilde's father.

Ana: An Argentinian woman, 50's-60's. She is impossiblity charismatic. In Act I, she plays Matilde's mother. Must be proficient with Argentinian accent, and quick to learn scripted Spanish text.
