Don't miss this razzle-dazzle musical comedy with a spectacular chorus line of tap dancers! Lakewood Cultural Center and Performance Now Theatre Company present the hit musical "42nd Street" April 10-26 at the Lakewood Cultural Center, 470 S. Allison Parkway (Wadsworth and Alameda). Performances are 7:30 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays, and 2 p.m., Saturdays and Sundays.

After a failed audition for the chorus of a new Broadway play, young Peggy Sawyer gets a second chance and a job. When Peggy accidentally bumps into leading lady Dorothy Brock onstage during opening night and breaks the star's ankle, she is fired at intermission. Fellow chorus members convince the director that Peggy is the right ingénue to take Dorothy's place so the show can go on. With two days to rehearse, Peggy finds herself on stage in the make-it-or-break-it career chance of her lifetime.

Starring Keegan Flaugh as Julian Marsh, Lee Ann Scherlong as Dorothy Brock, Rachel Whyte as Peggy Sawyer, and Andy Sievers as Billy Lawlor, this Tony Award-winning musical features such Broadway hits as "Shuffle Off to Buffalo," "We're In the Money," "Lullaby of Broadway," and of course, the title song "42nd Street."

Performance Now Theatre Company's 2014-15 season is sponsored by Scientific and Cultural Facilities District (SCFD), 5280 Magazine and Little Theatre Culture Centers. The 2014-2015 Lakewood Cultural Center Presents! season is supported by the Scientific and Cultural Facilities District (SCFD), with appreciation to the citizens of the Scientific and Cultural Facilities District, 5280 Magazine, Colorado Creative Industries, and Denver Post Community, improving and enriching the lives of those in our community.
