LAURA, BABY, HOLLYWOOD HOLIDAY and More Set for Possum Point Players' 2014 Season
The Possum Point Players have announced their upcoming 41st Season and it contains mystery, music, mayhem, maternity, and merriment!
LAURA, a murder mystery, will be presented January 31, February 1, 7, and 8 at 7:30 PM; February 2 and 9 at 2 PM. Tickets are $18; $17 Seniors / Students. Detective Mark McPherson was supposed to reconstruct the life of Laura, a vicious murder victim, but not to the point where he falls in love with her. Here is the secret of Laura's death... and her life.
SOUTH PACIFIC, the classic Broadway musical, will be presented April 4, 5, 11, and 12 at 7:30 PM; April 6 and 13 at 2 PM. Tickets are $23; $22 Seniors / Students. Set in an island paradise during World War II, two couples in love are both threatened by the dangers of prejudice and war. Here is Rogers and Hammerstein's Pulitzer Prize-winning classic! SEE HOW THEY RUN, a British comedy, will be presented June 6, 7, 13, and 14 at 7:30 PM; June 8 and 15 at 2 PM. Tickets are $18; $17 Seniors / Students. Galloping in and out of the doors of a vicarage in a roundabout of mistaken identities are an actor and actress, a cockney maid, an escaped prisoner, and a sedate Bishop, among others. The action is swift, the plot is rib-tickling!
BABY, a musical comedy, is Possum's Dinner Theater presentation. Dinner and the show will be served on September 19, 20, 26, and 27; Dinner: 6 PM; Show 7:30 PM; September21 and 28; Dinner: 12:30 PM; Show 2 PM. Tickets are $45 Dinner and Show; $20 Show Only. We follow three couples as they deal with the painful, rewarding, and often funny consequences of conceiving a baby: college students, thirty-somethings, and middle-agers: Their joys and angst all set to music!
HOLLYWOOD HOLIDAY, an original holiday musical revue, will be presented December 5, 6, 12, and 13 at 7:30 PM; December 7 and 14 at 2 PM. Tickets are $23; $22 Seniors / Students. Join us for a 1960's Hollywood Christmas TV special hosted by Ed Sullivan, with celebrity guests The Rat Pack, Sonny and Cher, Bing Crosby, Rosemary Clooney, The Supremes, The Temptations, and a misguided "Elvis" for some musical family fun!
