Clear Space Theatre Stages AN AMERICAN CHRISTMAS CAROL, Now thru 12/22

The Clear Space Theatre Company is currently hard at work, rehearsing one of the most popular holiday tales of all time, with a decidedly NEW twist for this Christmas season!
The tale of loathsome Ebenezer Scrooge is shifted from London, England to London, Kentucky in 1937 - near the end of the Great Depression. It's the same classic tale in Dickens words, where Scrooge is forced to face the choices of his Past, the cruelty of his Present, and the consequences of his Future with a decidedly American viewpoint. You are invited to join the cast through December 22nd for this story of transformation, redemption and holiday cheer complete with a leading turn by Clear Space's Artistic Director, Doug Yetter, now in his 5th year as Scrooge.Kevin Smith, director and production set designer, believes that Charles Dickens truly intended for his iconic tale to be a ghost story, citing Dickens' own words - "Darkness was cheap and Scrooge liked it." Smith summarizes by saying, "This is NOT your grandmother's Christmas Carol!" and further promises the production will sport an interesting new set.
