Victoria Theatre Association presents the first of eight Mid-Day Arts Café lunches Tuesday, September 18, 2012 in the Mathile Theatre located in the Benjamin & Marian Schuster Performing Arts Center. September's Mid- Day Arts Café offers an up close and personal look at the many shows presented by Victoria Theatre Association for the 2012-2013 season.

This hour of entertainment and delicious food features a preview of VTA's upcoming shows of the 2012-2013 shows. VTA Director of Education and Engagement, Ray Gargano, will lead a panel discussion about the amazing season of Broadway, Star Attractions, Variety and Family presentations. Previews from the season-including song selections, video and even a radio play-will be performed by four Wright State University Musical Theatre Department students: Zack Steele, Melissa Hall, Beth Ann Wipprecht and Derrick Jordan. The program will be directed by Jamie Cordes, Wright State University Senior Lecturer and Voice instructor; students will be accompanied by Amy Gray, pianist and Wright State University instructor.

Selections will include MENOPAUSE THE MUSICAL, Green Day'S AMERICAN IDIOT, ROCK OF AGES, WHITE CHRISTMAS, MARY POPPINS, SHREK THE MUSICAL, The Addams Family, NEXT TO NORMAL, THE INTERGALACTIC NEMESIS and DREAMGIRLS.

Mid-Day Arts Café is a series presented by Victoria Theatre Association offering a variety of performances from locAl Dayton arts groups. In cooperation with the Dayton Performing Arts Alliance (Dayton Ballet, Dayton Opera and Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra), The Muse Machine, Zoot Theatre Company, FilmDayton, and Human Race Theatre Company, Mid-Day Arts Café offers the chance to network with area arts lovers, view sneak peeks of upcoming performances, and enjoy the opportunity to get out of the office for an enjoyable lunch time!

Tickets for the Mid-Day Arts Café include a delicious box lunch from Citilites Restaurant & Bar.

Doors open at 11:30 a.m. with the event starting promptly at noon in order to conclude by 1 p.m. For more information on the 2012-2013 season, please contact Victoria Theatre Association directly.
