Beavercreek Community Theatre's Children's Theatre will Presents "The Patchwork Girl of Oz" April 23 through May 2. The play, based on the seventh book of L. Frank Baum's beloved series blends familiar characters from "The Wizard of Oz" with new creatures for yet another delightful and magical trip to Oz..

In search of a better life, a Munchkin boy, Ojo the Unlucky, and his uncle, Unc Nunkie, head for the Emerald City. Along the way they visit Dr. Pip, who uses magic to bring to life a patchwork doll. The Patchwork Girl accidentally spills the Liquid of Petrifaction, turning Dr. Pip's wife, and Unc Nunkie in into marble statues while bringing to life a pretty fountain statue. The Stone Girl, Ojo and the Patchwork Girl set out to find the rare elements needed to undo the hex, meeting many challenges and amazing people along the way.

The cast includes Emily Goralski of Springboro, Sarah Conrad of Fairborn, Destre Inlow of Kettering and Lauren Counts, Raine DeDominici and Isabela Rougeux of Dayton. Beavercreek residents in the cast include Lorrin Bush, Maddy Swanson, Emily Zouck, Tiffany Stevens, Maria Schlegel, Caroline Delaney, Anna Schlegel, Janae Thomson, Katherine Toronto, Kathleen Anderson, Cami Baird, Amanda Pearson and Kailey Yeakley.

The technical crew consists of Ashley Davis of Miamisburg and Katlyn Tilt of Beavercreek.

Teresa Connair of Dayton is the director while Katie Storost of Kettering is the assistant director and stage manager. John Falkenbach of Kettering is the technical director while Bruce Brown of Dayton is the set designer. Linda Sellers of Beavercreek is in charge of the costumes.

Beavercreek Community Theatre is located in the former Lofino's grocery store at 3868 Dayton-Xenia Road, which is now the Lofino Adult Enrichment and Cultural Arts Center, the home of both the theater and the Beavercreek Senior Center.

Tickets are $12 for adults and $11 for BCT members, students, and senior citizens. Showtimes are Fridays and Saturdays at 7pm and 3pm on Sundays. A group discount is available for groups of 10 or more. A mat area directly in front of the stage will be available for children under the age of 10 for $6.
