About this studio
Positive Performing Arts Association (PPAA) is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization founded by Kevin and Natasha King Firth, working from the Tulsa and Broken Arrow area of Oklahoma. Rather than operating as a conventional studio, it uses the discipline of the performing arts to motivate financially challenged and at-risk youth and young adults, combining dance and drama instruction with mentoring, life-skills education and drug awareness programs. Its own programs include Natasha's House of Hip Hop and the Chosen Urban Dance Crew, which began at the Tulsa Dream Center in 2002 and now perform in schools, churches and community venues across Oklahoma. PPAA also partners with other schools, studios and instructors, funding scholarships and providing teaching materials.
