Dixie's Dance Studio

Inspire @ D.D.S., formerly Dixie's Dance Studio, is at 109 South Main Street in Winchester, Indiana, and states its mission as inspiring, motivating and enriching every student in the art of dance while producing students who appreciate the arts. Tap is the entry-level class, open from age 2 to 18, and the studio notes a long-standing tradition of strong tappers; clogging is available to students who have completed at least two years of regular tap. Jazz/Musical Theater and hip hop classes run for ages 4 to 18, while ballet is taught to younger students and older ones continue into lyrical and contemporary work. A mandatory weekly ballet technique class of 45 minutes to 90 minutes is required of dancers on the Inspire competition lines. The studio year culminates in a spring recital, with dance pictures, recital tickets and rehearsals scheduled in the preceding weeks, and registration takes place at the studio over the summer.
