THE WIZARD OF OZ Whirls Into The Campus Theatre Denton Community Theatre is proud to present The Wizard of Oz, By L. Frank Baum, With Music and Lyrics by Harold Arlen and E. Y. Harburg, Background Music by Herbert Stothart, Dance and Vocal Arrangements by Peter Howard, Orchestration by Larry Wilcox, Adapted by John Kane for the Royal Shakespeare Company, Based upon the Classic Motion Picture owned by Turner Entertainment Co. and distributed in all media by Warner Bros. This production is directed by Mildred A. Peveto with music direction by Jett Cheek.

Faithful to the movie, this musical tells the story of Dorothy Gale's adventures in the magical land of Oz. Brought there by a tornado, she only wants to get back home to Kansas. She is helped by the unlikely friends that she meets along the way; a scarecrow, a tin man, and a cowardly lion. Together they face the Wicked Witch of the West and get an audience with the wizard himself. The Wizard of Oz is an enchanting theatrical event families to enjoy together.

Production dates are August 10, 11, 16, 17, 18 at 7:30pm and August 12, 19 at 2:00pm. All performances are at the Campus Theatre, 214 W. Hickory, Denton. Tickets available online at dentoncommunitytheatre.com or through the Campus Box Office at 940-382-7014 ext. 1 - Monday through Friday from 1pm to 5pm. Ticket prices are: Adult - $22, Senior (62+) - $18, Student - $15, Child (12 & under) - $10. Group rates are available at the Campus Box Office for groups of 10 or more paying in one transaction.
