O.C.'s Theatre Out Closes ZANNA, DON'T! 7/31

By: Jul. 31, 2010

Theatre Out, Orange County's gay and lesbian theatre, presents the Orange County Premiere of the musical ZANNA, DON'T! This musical fairy tale follows magical match-maker Zanna as he tries to find love for his friends at Heartsville High.  But things go awry at Heartsville High as the drama club tackles the important social issue of heterophobia in their school musical, only to find out there might be heterosexuals living among them.

Written by Tim Acito (with additional material by Alexander Dinelaris), the ZANNA, DON'T! original off-Broadway production debuted in 2002 and featured Queer Eye for the Straight Guy's Jai Rodriguez in the title role.

"ZANNA, DON'T! is an old fashion musical with a modern sensibility and an amazingly powerful message of love and acceptance," commented Jack Millis, Theatre Out's Artistic Director and the director for this production.
