Local School Choirs and Bands to Perform Before American Ballet Theatre's THE NUTCRACKER

Many of Orange County's finest elementary, intermediate and senior high school vocal and music ensembles will add special notes of holiday cheer prior to performances of American Ballet Theatre's The Nutcracker at Segerstrom Center for the Arts December 10 - 20.

The groups will provide a musical welcome as audiences enter Segerstrom Hall. There will be many other activities and engaging experiences for the entire family; everyone is encouraged to arrive early and share in the fun and sounds of the holidays.

Tickets for American Ballet Theatre's The Nutcracker start at $29 and are now available online at SCFTA.org, at the Box Office at 600 Town Center Drive in Costa Mesa or by calling (714) 556-2787. The TTY number is (714) 556-2746.

American Ballet Theatre's The Nutcracker, choreographed by ABT Artist in Residence Alexei Ratmansky, is set to a score by Peter Ilyitch Tchaikovsky performed by Pacific Symphony and features scenery and costumes by Richard Hudson and lighting by Jennifer Tipton. In addition to the local school groups performing before performances, the cast of The Nutcracker also includes exceptional young local dancers, many of whom are students in the American Ballet Theatre William J. Gillespie School at Segerstrom Center for the Arts.
