One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest by Dale Wasserman and directed by Ryan White will play its final show on February 20th at the Maverick Theater in Fullerton, CA.

ONE FLEW OVER THE CUCKOO'S NEST, Ken Kesey's 1962 novel took the nation's reading public by storm.  Since its release, it has been translated to several languages and named to Time Magazine's "Best 100 books of the 20th Century." The 1963 Broadway play written by Dale Wasserman, starring Kirk Douglas, was a dramatic powerhouse, and the 2001 revival, starring Gary Sinise won the Tony® Award for best revival of a play. The 1975 film starring Jack Nicholson swept the Oscars® winning all five major awards (picture, actor, actress, director, screenplay).

When Randle P. McMurphy fakes insanity and is transferred from a prison work farm to a mental institution, the whole place is turned on its head. Ruled by the cold, iron fist of Nurse Ratched, the hospital's patients are at her mercy; but McMurphy, a foul mouthed gambler, mocks her authority and stands up for the other patients in the ward. McMurphy serves as a beacon of hope and fairness for the patients. He antagonizes Ratched and the two engage in a take-no-prisoners power struggle, and whomever loses, loses everything.
