A FEW GOOD MEN to Open 1/16 at The Maverick Theater
The Maverick Theater presents "A Few Good Men." Before the award-winning film came the Broadway play, written by acclaimed film and television writer Aaron Sorkin ("The West Wing," "The Social Network," "Moneyball" and "The Newsroom"). Join the cast in an electrically charged staging of Sorkin's compelling tale, which interweaves themes about honor, duty and ones own moral code.
Set against the backdrop of NAVBASE Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, two marines find themselves facing a court martial having been suspected of murder. Their hope: Lieutenant Daniel Kaffee, a softball-loving Junior Grade slated to represent them against the wishes of the marines' most loyal supporter, Lieutenant Joanne Galloway. The truth about how and why victim Private Santiago lost his life is brought under intense scrutiny and the questioning of a few key players, including the Lieutenant Colonel himself, Nathan R. Jessep.
"A Few Good Men," directed by Brian Newell, opens January 16th and runs through February 21st. Performances are Friday and Saturday at 8:00 p.m., Sundays at 5:00 p.m. starting January 25th.
Tickets are $22 general, $10 for students with a current I.D. Tickets may be purchased on line at www.mavericktheater.com or by calling 714-526-7070. The Maverick Theater is located at 110 E. Walnut, Fullerton, CA 92832, across from the Amtrak station in historic Downtown Fullerton.
