Venue: CT'S Beardsley Zoo, 1875 Noble Ave., Bridgeport, CT 06610 This lighthearted, music filled comedy, set in Madrid in the 1600's, is the work of Spain's great Golden Age playwright, Pedro Calderón de la Barca, and has been adapted by Ellen Lieberman and Bert Garskof PhD. "Mornings of April and May" is about love, honor, jealousy and fidelity, with healthy doses of comedic devices such as mistaken identity and eavesdropping. The antics of the characters and musical interludes will delight even the youngest of children. The themes are timeless. Actors courtesy of Actor's Equity. 6-8 PM It is traditional to come early and picnic. The zoo reopens at 5:15. Note this year’s earlier start time. Bring a blanket or chair.
