Windham Theatre Guild Presents Pearl Harbor Day Reading of QUYNE PATERSON Tonight
The Windham Theatre Guild commemorates the 74th Anniversary of Pearl Harbor with a reading of the play QUYNE PATERSON by Charlie Cheng tonight, December 4th at 7:30 P.M at the Burton Leavitt Theatre, 779 Main Street, Willimantic.
Quyne Paterson is an ordinary Navy boy, in an ordinary diner, with ordinary conversation, over an ordinary cup of coffee. It is six days before Pearl Harbor as Quyne's coffee and evening turns into an extraordinary night.
This play was read and then produced very successfully at Eastern Connecticut State University 5 years ago. Those involved led by Shane Kegler, have come back in a dramatized rereading to recall and remember the United States in a gentler time and to remember the courage of those at the changing event of Pearl Harbor.
