The Windham Theatre Guild proudly presents its next Main Stage production of the season...Crimes of the Heart by Beth Henley, opening Friday, September 22nd at the Burton Leavitt Theatre in Willimantic.

In this deeply touching Southern Gothic comedy, three young sisters reunite in their Mississippi hometown to await news of their hospitalized grandfather -- and that's just the start of their very bad day. With emotional troubles in the past and immediate troubles with the law, each of the dysfunctional Magrath sisters is forced to face the consequences of her crimes of the heart. Imaginative and hilarious, unpredictable and moving, this play is a contemporary classic, honoring playwright Beth Henley with both a Pulitzer Prize and a New York Drama Critics Circle Award -- and later becoming an Academy Award-nominated film.

Wayne Trembly returns to Direct is wonderful production. Wayne has directed somewhere between 50 and 75 straight plays and musicals over the years. Crimes of the Heart is the second show he has directed at WTG, the first being Into the Woods.
